Texas music wouldn't sound the same without Gary P. Nunn. A true pioneer of progressive country and a defining voice of the cosmic cowboy movement, Gary helped shape a sound, a scene, and a musical legacy that reaches far beyond Austin. From his unforgettable anthems to his decades of bringing people together through music, his influence can be heard in generations of artists across Texas and across the country. On January 26, 2027, at ACL Live at the Moody Theater, we're bringing together some of the incredible musicians who have been inspired by, shared stages with, and helped carry forward Gary's musical legacy for HOME with the Armadillo: An Evening Honoring Gary P. Nunn. The initial lineup features Ray Benson, Ray Wylie Hubbard, Kevin Fowler, with many more special guests to be announced as the celebration approaches. And of course, Gary himself will be there and taking the stage to perform! This one-of-a-kind evening is HOME's annual signature fundraiser, supporting our mission to help aging musicians remain safely housed in the community they helped make the Live Music Capital of the World. Come celebrate a living legend, the extraordinary musical family he's inspired, and the power of Austin's music community to take care of its own.
