Live From Laurel Canyon is much more than a tribute act. It's an evening of live music and storytelling devoted to the songwriters who lived within a few winding miles of each other in the Los Angeles hills — and, between the mid-1960s and the late 70s, rewrote American popular music.
Bandleader Brian Chartrand guides the night through the songs of The Mamas & The Papas, The Byrds, Buffalo Springfield, The Doors, Crosby Stills Nash & Young, Neil Young, James Taylor, Carole King, Joni Mitchell, Jackson Browne, Linda Ronstadt, America and the Eagles — connecting the music to the artists' lives, houses, feuds and friendships with multimedia projections and the stories behind the songs. By the final number, the whole room is singing.
