Tanya Tucker Edgy. Classic. Country. A defining voice of music and a modern-day legend, 2023 Country Music Hall of Fame Inductee and two-time GRAMMY® winner Tanya Tucker continues to inspire artists today. Born in Seminole, Texas, Tanya had her first country hit, the classic “Delta Dawn,” at the age of 13 in 1972. Since that auspicious beginning, she has become one of the most admired and influential artists in country music history, amassing 23 Top 40 albums and a stellar string of 56 Top 40 singles, ten of which reached the No. 1 spot on the Billboard country charts. Tanya’s indelible songs include some of country music’s biggest hits such as the aforementioned “Delta Dawn,” “Soon,” “Two Sparrows in a Hurricane,” “It’s a Little Too Late,” “Trouble,” “Texas (When I Die),” “If It Don’t Come Easy,” “Strong Enough To Bend” and many more.
Wade Bowen Two decades and more than 4,000 shows into his career, Texas Troubadour Wade Bowen remains one of the most respected voices in Texas country and Red Dirt music. A contemporary of Miranda Lambert, Cody Johnson, and Casey Donahew, Bowen has helped shape the modern Texas music landscape while continuing to carry it forward. With ten studio albums, 36 #1 Texas radio singles, and multiple Texas Regional Radio Music Awards, his track record speaks for itself.
Jack Ingram Jack Ingram is a Texas-born country singer whose records have earned both critical and peer acclaim and spawned massive hit singles. Emerging in the 1990s with a slew of well-received but commercially struggling singles, the modern-day honky tonker didn't find major success until 2005 with the release of the single "Wherever You Are," which climbed to number one on the Billboard Country charts. "Love You," "Lips of an Angel," "Measure of a Man," and "That's a Man" kept Ingram in the Country Top 40 over the next five years, with "Barefoot and Crazy" giving him a second Country Top Ten in 2009. From that point forward, Ingram pursued an independent route, re-emerging in 2016 with Midnight Motel on Rounder Records, but a collaborative album with Miranda Lambert and Jon Randall called The Marfa Tapes brought him back to the top of the Country charts in 2021. Ingram is a 2024 inductee into the Texas Heritage Songwriters Association Hall of Fame. Jack has released eleven studio albums, six live albums, and 19 singles.
Asleep at the Wheel For over fifty years, Asleep at the Wheel’s Ray Benson has been traversing the globe as an ambassador of Western swing music and introducing its irresistible sound to generation after generation. More than 100 musicians have passed through the Wheel, but Benson remains the front man and the keeper of the vision, in the process racking up more than 30 albums, ten Grammy awards and literally millions of miles on the road. “I’m the reason it’s still together, but the reason it’s popular is because we’ve had the greatest singers and players,” Benson explains. “When someone joins the band, I say, ‘Learn everything that’s ever been done, then put your own stamp on it.’ I love to hear how they interpret what we do. I’m just a singer and a songwriter, and a pretty good guitar player, but my best talent is convincing people to jump on board and play this music.” Asleep at the Wheel represents an important cornerstone of American roots music, even though some of its members and audiences represent a new generation. That far- reaching appeal remains a testament to Benson’s initial vision. “It took me 60 years, but I’m doing what I’m meant to do—singing and playing and writing better than I ever have. A bandleader is just someone who gathers people around them to play the best music they can play. I just try and make the best decisions possible and kick some ass every night onstage.”
